Yes, Diapers are Mighty!

The Greater Philadelphia Diaper Bank is a program of Mighty Writers. Our goal is to ensure that every family member is clean, dry, and healthy so they can grow and learn with dignity.

In 2023, the Greater Philadelphia Diaper Bank distributed:

• More than 2 million diapers
• More than 290,000 period products (pads, liners, and tampons)
• 32,000 adult incontinence products
• 4,240 packs of baby wipes
• 3,850 cans of infant formula

Only when the basic needs of families are met can kids focus on embracing their superpower — the power of the pen.

Creating an environment for all our children in which basic needs are met has lifelong benefits. By age 3, 80% of brain growth is complete. Lack of diapers causes infants and toddlers to miss daycare and preschool and parents to miss work. Successful enrollment and retention in early childhood programs improves kids' outcomes from kindergarten to college. Imagine if all of our children could benefit from that learning.
